Rocky Road

Rocky Road Ice Cream is a flavour of ice cream that tastes like chocolate, and is typically composed of chocolate ice cream, nuts, and marshmallows. The flavour was created in 1929 by William Dreyer in Oakland, California when he cut up walnuts and marshmallows and incorporated them into some chocolate ice cream, eventually selling them and having the flavour quickly rise in popularity. The original Rocky Road ice cream used chocolate ice cream with no chocolate chip pieces; however, in the present, rocky road can be obtained based on vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips, marshmallows and almonds/walnuts.
